UAE Strongly Condemns Houthi Militia Attacks on Saudi Arabia
The UAE has condemned in the strongest terms the attacks launched by the Houthi terrorist militia targeting the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) affirmed that these attacks constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Saudi Arabia and a threat to its security and stability. The UAE also called on the international community to ensure the implementation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216 on Yemen and Resolution 2722 on the rights and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea. The Houthi group’s threats to impose a maritime blockade on Saudi Arabia have raised concerns about the freedom of navigation in international waterways, which is a right guaranteed under international law.
