Internet Captivated by Kevin Reddington in Lindsay Clancy Murder Trial
Kevin Reddington, a 75-year-old defense attorney representing Lindsay Clancy at Plymouth Superior Court, has emerged as an unexpected internet focal point during a high-profile Massachusetts murder trial. Online observers and court supporters have gravitated toward the veteran lawyer, capturing public attention as legal proceedings examine the 2023 deaths of Clancy’s three children.
During the fourth day of proceedings, prosecutors played a six-minute 911 call placed by Clancy’s husband in January 2023, detailing the discovery of the children in the basement of the family’s Duxbury home. Court imagery captured by Boston Globe photographer David L. Ryan showed Reddington holding Clancy’s hand inside the courtroom on July 29, 2026.
Public fascination with the defense counsel has translated into unconventional interactions outside the legal setting. Supporters attending the trial have approached the 75-year-old attorney to request autographs, photographs, and inquiries regarding personal preferences such as how he prefers his burgers.
The proceedings, reported by journalist Rebecca Cohen, center on determining criminal liability and first-degree murder charges against Clancy following the tragedy in Duxbury.
