Silver Crystals and Lavender Take Over the 78th Emmy Carpet
Silver crystals, gold chainmail, and structured lavender corsets dominated the blue carpet in Los Angeles as television’s top stars arrived for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards.
The evening set a distinct tone before any trophies were handed out to major winners *The Pitt* and *Widow’s Bay*. Across the carpet, metallic finishes and soft romantic palettes replaced standard black-tie choices, paired with sharp tailoring and architectural cuts.
Custom Prada, Gold Chainmail, and Coral Red on the Blue Carpet
Zendaya stepped out in a custom Prada gown covered entirely in silver crystals, styling the fitted look with Mikimoto pearls and a fresh pixie cut. Selena Gomez doubled down on metallic shine, opting for a strapless gold Louis Vuitton chainmail gown detailed with reflective mirrored accents.
Nicole Kidman took a softer direction, selecting a white Chanel midi dress trimmed in feathers and detailed with floral work, finished simply with classic black pumps. Lavender emerged as the carpet’s key colour trend, led by Florence Pugh in a corseted, off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood gown and Sarah Pidgeon in a satin Chanel dress featuring jewelled necklace straps.
Rich, saturated shades grounding the lineup included host Mariska Hargitay in a bold red Monse gown with matching Stuart Weitzman heels, alongside double-trophy winner Matthew Rhys and Rhea Seehorn, who walked in a draped red Louis Vuitton gown before accepting her first Emmy for *Pluribus*. Elle Fanning brought a lighter palette in custom seafoam-green Ralph Lauren, while Chase Infiniti went for deep tone in a chocolate-brown Louis Vuitton mermaid silhouette finished with Tiffany & Co jewellery.
