Tickets Are Now Live for Guggenheim Abu Dhabi's December Opening
Saadiyat Island‘s cultural district is gearing up for its next major landmark. Tickets for Guggenheim Abu Dhabi have officially gone on sale, giving residents and art enthusiasts their first chance to secure access ahead of the museum’s grand opening on December 11, 2026.
The Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi confirmed the launch, positioning the venue as a central hub for modern and contemporary art within the capital. Designed to house works ranging from the 1960s to the present day, the museum aims to act as a space for global encounter and community exchange.
His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi, pointed to the project’s broader significance for the emirate. He noted that the museum is shaped by a long-held conviction that culture serves as an enduring bridge between peoples, creating new opportunities for learning and creativity within the Saadiyat Cultural District.
While ticket sales are now open, the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi has indicated that further announcements regarding specific collections and commissioned works will follow in the coming months.
