AED 65 Billion Assets Secured After Global Cybercrime Sweep Dismantled
During a briefing at Sharjah Media City “Shams”, Sharjah Police and the Ministry of Interior detailed a major cross-border operation dubbed “END OF THE BATTLE“. The targeted sweep brought down four interconnected international syndicates operating hidden networks dedicated to digital crime and financial fraud.
Protecting Local Digital Assets and Curbing Cyber Threats
The Digital Crime Combat Department at Sharjah Police uncovered encrypted digital networks hiding behind legal corporate fronts. Members of the ring posed as global investors and business executives while running online extortion, data trafficking, cyberattacks, and digital wallet theft across international borders.
Public Prosecution gathered evidence that resulted in the arrest of 33 suspects spanning 12 nationalities. Officials secured AED65 billion in corporate assets and intercepted digital wallets handling transactions valued in the billions, neutralizing broader economic fallout across virtual asset markets.
The operation successfully dismantled all four criminal networks operating behind encrypted platforms.
