Rs 160 Crore Streaming Deal Targets November Release for Jailer 2
Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital streaming rights to the Rajinikanth action sequel *Jailer 2* in a deal reportedly valued at Rs 160 crore, targeting an expected platform premiere for November 12, 2026. Global cinema audiences and fans of Tamil action features will gain digital access to the film following a mandatory four-week theatrical window that began on October 15, 2026.
Four-Week Theatrical Window Locks Digital Premiere Timeline
Amazon Prime Video secured the exclusive streaming rights to the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed action film, which brings Rajinikanth back to the screen as Muthuvel Pandian, also known as Tiger. The agreement includes a strict four-week theatrical window, preventing digital availability until the movie completes its initial theatrical run across worldwide cinema circuits.
The theatrical debut on October 15, 2026, activated the countdown for the digital rollout, giving audiences who missed the theatrical screenings a direct channel to stream the feature globally on compatible home devices and digital screens.
*Jailer 2* follows the broad box-office performance of the franchise’s original release, extending the narrative of lead character Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.
