Civil Marriage in Abu Dhabi: Fees, Eligibility and How to Apply
Abu Dhabi’s civil marriage service lets couples marry in front of the Abu Dhabi Civil Family Court regardless of nationality or religion, tourists included. The only people excluded are UAE nationals who are Muslim. Applications go through the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) website or at an ADJD typing centre in Abu Dhabi.
Fees and Processing Time

Who Can Marry
Both parties must be at least 18 years old. Anyone can apply whatever their nationality or religion, with the exception of a Muslim UAE national.
Documents
- A completed, signed application form.
- Passport copies for both parties, or Emirates ID copies if either is a UAE resident.
- Proof that any previous marriage has been dissolved.
- A pre-nuptial agreement, which is optional.
