Dubai Airports Launches Indoor Walking Track at DXB Terminal 3
The Dubai Mallathon has debuted at Dubai International Airport’s DXB Terminal 3, bringing together Dubai Airports employees, members of the wider oneDXB community, and People of Determination for indoor walks. This initiative, launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to promote health and wellbeing in everyday life by transforming the airport into an indoor walking track.
The first Dubai Mallathon at DXB session took place at Terminal 3 Departures, with further sessions scheduled every Friday throughout August. These walks will unite hundreds of colleagues, airport community partners, and members of the public, supporting employee wellbeing and bringing the airport community together through shared experiences.
Majed Al Joker, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Airports, expressed pride in hosting the Dubai Mallathon, stating that it encourages people to be part of a community-driven movement that fits around daily routines and makes a big impact. The airport’s indoor environment makes it an ideal location for these walks, as airports are naturally places of movement.
The Dubai Mallathon is part of DXB’s efforts to reimagine what an airport can be, supporting the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033. By hosting this initiative, Dubai Airports aims to promote a culture of health and wellbeing among its employees and the wider community.
The Dubai Mallathon will conclude with a special session on August 28, coinciding with Emirati Women’s Day. This event is expected to further promote the importance of health and wellbeing in daily life, encouraging people to take small steps towards making a big impact.
