Free Summer Checks: Dubai Police Offers 10-Point Car Inspections
Dubai motorists can now get their vehicles checked for free as part of the “Summer Without Accidents 2026” campaign. This initiative, led by the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police and in cooperation with ENOC AutoPro, aims to enhance road safety and reduce traffic fatalities during the UAE summer. The campaign is under the patronage of the Ministry of Interior and the Federal Traffic Council.
The free vehicle inspections, which cover 10 essential safety checks, are available at ENOC AutoPro centres located at ENOC petrol stations from August 10 to 23, 2026. These checks include tyres, engine oil, battery, engine cooling, brakes, air-conditioning, and fluids, belts, and hoses. The extreme summer heat in the UAE can exacerbate existing vehicle problems, making regular checks crucial to prevent breakdowns and accidents.
The inspections are particularly important for tyres, as high temperatures and hot road surfaces can increase tyre stress, leading to potential failure. Similarly, the summer heat can accelerate battery deterioration, causing it to fail suddenly. Engine cooling systems also work harder in extreme heat, and low coolant or radiator problems can cause the engine to overheat. Brakes, too, are under additional stress due to the heat and heavy traffic, making worn brake pads or other faults more serious.
By getting their vehicles inspected, motorists can identify potential problems before they cause breakdowns or accidents. The campaign emphasizes the importance of road safety, especially during the summer months when the heat can pose significant risks to drivers and their vehicles.
The “Summer Without Accidents 2026” campaign is part of a broader effort to improve road safety in Dubai. By offering free vehicle inspections, Dubai Police and ENOC AutoPro are helping motorists stay safe on the roads during the summer.
