Dh1,949 Dyson CameraJet Brings Built-In Camera to UAE Brushing
Bathroom routines across the UAE are about to get a high-tech upgrade. Dyson is rolling out its new CameraJet electric toothbrush this month, bringing a built-in macro camera and targeted mouthrinse dispenser straight to local washbasins with a Dh1,949 price tag.
The device tackles the spots most brushing routines miss: the gaps between teeth. Armed with a 100,000-pixel macro camera, the toothbrush scans 28 images a second, using machine learning to spot and track missed spaces in real time. Once it detects a gap, it fires a precise burst of mouthrinse directly into the area.
Dyson built the system using 470,000 dental images and 16 million lines of code, following six years of development involving 661 engineers and 30 dental professionals.
The gadget packs multiple tools into one handle. A conical jet covers a wider area than typical water flossers, allowing it to remove plaque at lower pressure to protect gums and enamel. A 12.5ml mouthrinse tank delivers controlled bursts, while an anti-gravity system keeps the liquid flowing even when the brush is tilted or held horizontally. The brush head pairs firmer inner bristles for surface stains with softer outer bristles designed for the gumline.
For users who want a closer look at their technique, the built-in camera streams live video straight to the MyDyson app. The app provides guided cleaning, coverage maps, and personalized feedback. According to Dyson, the live video is not recorded or stored on the device or in the cloud.
The package comes with the toothbrush, a charging dock, a travel case, toothpaste, and mouthrinse. Shoppers can find it in Ceramic Ultra Blue and Ceramic Pink at Dyson Demo Stores and selected retailers across the country.
