Get Your Degree Attested Online in Just Two Hours With UAE MOFA
Waiting weeks to push paper documents through government channels for a residency visa or job application is officially a thing of the past for recent graduates. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rolled out a fully digital attestation service for educational certificates, slashing processing times down to just two hours during official working hours.
The streamlined setup is built to fast-track approvals for students and graduates looking to secure employment, residency visas, family sponsorship, or further education without getting bogged down in physical queues.
How the Digital Process Works
If you are a graduate from the 2025-2026 academic year or hold qualifications that need legalizing for local use, you can bypass the traditional paperwork shuffle entirely. The system covers everything from certificates under the Ministry of Education curriculum to international school qualifications and degrees issued by recognized institutions.
Before hitting submit online, make sure your paperwork has cleared the necessary initial steps. You will need to get the document attested by the UAE Embassy, Consulate, or Foreign Office in the country where it was issued first, unless you are managing the entire pipeline through an authorized provider.
Once that prerequisite is handled, you can kick off the final UAE verification through these official channels:
- Head directly to the official MOFAIC website at www.mofaic.gov.ae.
- Download the ‘UAE MOFAIC’ smartphone application, which is available for both Apple and Android devices.
Fees and Document Pickup
Submitting your request requires filling out the specific details of your educational document and choosing whether the attestation needs to happen through the UAE foreign office abroad or directly via MOFAIC locally.
Attestation services for eligible educational documents are charged at Dh150 by MOFAIC, alongside an additional Dh6.06 E-dirham fee. Once your payment goes through, watch your inbox and phone: you will receive a text message and email containing a reference number to confirm a successful application. From there, a courier service handles the logistics, picking up the document from your location and delivering the final attested certificate straight to your chosen address once processing is complete.
