Dh14,690 Bank Balance Unlocks Dubai’s 5-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa
Frequent visitors can get a self-sponsored five-year tourist visa without a local host or UAE sponsor. Issued through GDRFA Dubai, it is open to all nationalities and grants multiple entries with stays of up to 90 days per visit. For the wider rules, see our UAE 5-year visa guide.
Stay limits
Holders can stay up to 90 days per trip and extend for another 90 days before overstay fines apply. Across any one-year period, total time in the UAE cannot exceed 180 days, counted from the date of your first entry. The first entry window lasts two months from issue and can be extended by two more months.
Cost and required documents
You need a passport with at least six months of validity, a recent photo, a round-trip flight ticket and valid health insurance for your stay. Attested bank statements in your own name must cover the previous six months and show a maintained balance of at least $4,000 (Dh14,690) or its equivalent in another currency. GDRFA Dubai estimates the baseline cost at Dh3,713, though your total can differ, for example if you apply from inside the country.

Who it suits
Frequent tourists avoid applying for a new visa before every trip. Family visitors stay self-sponsored instead of relying on a relative as sponsor. Business travellers can make repeat trips across the five-year validity, provided the six-month bank balance and health insurance stay in order.
Tracking your days
Counting days is your responsibility. GDRFA Dubai lets travellers or their representatives request an official entry and exit report, which helps you avoid overstaying the 90-day per-visit limit or the 180-day annual cap.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Dh3,000 guarantee refundable?
Yes. The Dh3,000 financial guarantee in the fee table is listed as refundable, so the non-refundable part of the estimated Dh3,713.50 is lower.
How do I avoid overstaying?
Count your days yourself. GDRFA Dubai lets travellers or their representatives request an official entry and exit report.
