26 New Outlets Headed to Palm Jebel Ali as The Yard Sets 2027 Launch
Residents tracking the growth of Palm Jebel Ali now have their first concrete timeline for neighborhood services. Dubai Retail has officially announced The Yard, a 70,000-square-foot waterfront retail and lifestyle destination scheduled to open across the island mega-project in 2027.
26 Dining, Wellness, and Healthcare Outlets for 20,000 Residents
Designed to serve approximately 20,000 residents across surrounding beachfront communities, the destination brings 26 distinct concepts into a single central location. Confirmed tenants already lined up for the development include a Waitrose supermarket, an American Hospital clinic, Jumeirah International Nursery, Piccoli, Bateel Café, and Friends Avenue.
The physical layout integrates open terraces and communal social spaces with direct access to a waterfront promenade and nearby open outdoor spaces. It’s built to allow families to run routine daily errands, drop off children at nursery, or visit healthcare providers without leaving the island’s coastal grid.
Progress on the broader 13.4-square-kilometre master plan, unveiled by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, continues as major infrastructure works advance across the seven connected islands. Khalid Al Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Real Estate, confirmed that early villa communities are moving forward on schedule as foundational work develops across the island.
The addition takes Dubai Retail‘s portfolio to 57 shopping and lifestyle hubs across the emirate. Beyond essential retail and dining, the overall development of Palm Jebel Ali, which spans twice the land mass of Palm Jumeirah, is planned to feature 80 hotels and resorts, a yacht club, multiple beach clubs, a leisure park, a sports and wellness club, and an observation tower offering 360-degree views.
Initial retail operations at The Yard remain on track to welcome shoppers when doors open in 2027.
