Four Days of Rain and Dust Winds Set to Hit Internal UAE
Residents across internal, eastern, and western stretches of the UAE are in for shifting conditions starting Sunday, as convective clouds bring chances of rainfall alongside localized dust storms and thick nighttime fog.
Dust, Fog, and Rain to Affect Daily Commutes
The National Centre of Meteorology has outlined a four-day weather outlook running from October 11 through October 14, warning of shifting wind conditions and low visibility across several regions.
The weather shift begins on Sunday, October 11, with convective cloud formations over eastern and southern parts of the country by the afternoon, creating a chance of localized rain showers. Drivers returning home during the evening should watch for mist and fog forming across internal and coastal areas, where overnight humidity will rise while light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds stay below 30 km/h.
Conditions sharpen on Monday, October 12, as afternoon convective clouds gather over internal zones. Stronger fresh winds reaching up to 45 km/h will kick up blowing dust, cutting visibility on open highways, though seas in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will remain slight throughout the period.
Rain chances spread to eastern and western parts of the country on Tuesday, October 13, accompanied by southeasterly to northeasterly winds and continuing nighttime humidity with mist and fog risks. By Wednesday, October 14, additional convective clouds will bring another potential round of rain, with light to moderate winds reaching 40 km/h causing localized blowing dust across exposed corridors.
The National Centre of Meteorology continues to monitor cloud activity and atmospheric humidity across the country.
