Sixteen Meetings and $30.5 Million Finale Set Meydan Schedule
Running from November 6 through March 12, the season incorporates three designated feature race days: Festive Friday, Fashion Friday, and Emirates Super Saturday. Following the conclusion of the core carnival calendar on March 12, Meydan will host the $30.5 million Dubai World Cup night on March 27. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, stated that the series showcases the city’s capacity to host top-tier sporting events while attracting international racing talent and visitors.
Saudi trainer Abdullah Al Monif enters the opening night card with runners Allajayn and Brave Vekoma, marking his entry into the Meydan season after transitioning into race training from a showjumping background. Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Racing Club, confirmed that organizers are expanding the carnival’s international footprint following a previous campaign that brought in 47 international trainers representing 10 distinct racing jurisdictions.
The launch follows the 30th edition of the Dubai World Cup held at Meydan during the preceding racing season.
