Residents along the waterfront in Dibba Al Fujairah experienced a subtle shake on Friday night as a minor tremor rippled through local waters.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) recorded the 1.6-magnitude earthquake at 9:38 pm on October 16, 2026. Picked up by the UAE’s National Seismic Network, the activity centered just off the Dibba Al Fujairah coastline.
The network monitors continuous seismic movements across the country and surrounding areas. No structural impacts or local disruptions followed the late-night event.
