Prince Harry booed by crowd at Leicester rugby match
Prince Harry faced audible jeers from a section of the crowd at Leicester’s Welford Road ground when his image appeared on the stadium big screen during Friday’s Premiership rugby match between Leicester and Gloucester. The Duke of Sussex experienced a mixed public reception as he watched the game alongside Leicester chief executive Andrea Pinchen.

TNT commentator Nick Mullins acknowledged the hostile reaction on air with the remark “Some boos there” before coverage immediately returned to pitch action where Leicester ultimately defeated Gloucester 38-31.
The stadium appearance marks one of the prince’s public outings following his return to the United Kingdom in August alongside Meghan Markle after six years residing in the United States.
