Over 105,000 Hybrid Land Cruisers Recalled Over Fire Risk
Toyota is recalling 105,794 vehicles across the United States due to a faulty fuel tube connection that creates a severe fire hazard. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced the safety action, which directly impacts owners of specific 2024-2027 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid models.
Faulty Fuel Connections Trigger Nationwide Action
The federal safety agency confirmed that the defect centers on the fuel tube connection located near the vehicle’s fuel tank. Under certain conditions, this connection can disconnect and cause fuel to leak. If the leaking fuel reaches an ignition source, the risk of a vehicle fire increases significantly.
To address the hazard, authorized dealerships will implement corrective repairs at no cost to vehicle owners. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the remedy requires technicians to either install a supplemental clamp or completely replace the resin fuel tube.
