Dubai Creek

The Dubai Creek is a historic saltwater inlet that has shaped Dubai’s identity as a trading hub. Stretching from the Arabian Gulf into the heart of the city, it has historically been the center of commerce for pearl diving, fishing, and trade with India and East Africa.

Today, the Creek is both a cultural and commercial landmark. It is home to the Deira Souks, Dubai Creek Harbour development, and traditional wooden abra boats that ferry passengers across the water. The Creek is also the site of new real estate projects that blend luxury living with waterfront views.

Recognized by UNESCO for its cultural importance, Dubai Creek is a must-visit destination that connects the emirate’s heritage with its future. Tourists often explore the Creek through cruises, heritage tours, and visits to cultural districts like Al Fahidi.
