Dubai RTA to Auction 150 Premium Number Plates from July 27
In Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to auction 150 premium number plates for private vehicles, classic vehicles, and motorcycles. The online auction, which is the 83rd of its kind, will feature three-, four-, and five-digit plates with codes including A, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z.
Registration for the auction opens on July 20, with bidding starting on July 27 and running for five days. To participate, individuals must have a Dubai traffic file and pay a refundable security cheque of AED 5,000, along with a non-refundable participation fee of AED 120. A 5% VAT applies to all sales. Payments for registration can be made at RTA Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, and Deira, or online through the RTA website.
Successful bidders must complete their payments within 10 working days of the auction closing. They can make payments at service provider centres, with cash accepted for amounts up to AED 50,000, or by certified cheque or credit card for amounts exceeding AED 50,000. Payments can also be made at Customer Happiness Centres or through the RTA website.
