Dubai Named World's Most Instagrammable City 2026
Dubai was named the world’s most Instagrammable city, with the Burj Khalifa claiming the top spot as the planet’s most photographed and searched landmark. This ranking was determined by a new global study conducted by PlayersTime, which assessed over 240 destinations worldwide using a special ‘Instagrammability Score’. This score combines Google search demand with the volume of destination-related hashtags on Instagram and TikTok to measure a location’s digital visibility.
The Burj Khalifa led the landmark rankings with a perfect score of 100, generating over 10.1 million tagged posts across social media and attracting 1.1 million monthly Google searches. Dubai achieved a perfect Instagrammability Score of 100 as well, after receiving more than 190 million combined Instagram and TikTok posts and 3.43 million monthly Google searches.
Other cities that secured top spots in the ‘Instagramability’ rankings include London, Paris, and Barcelona, with New York City also ranking among the top 5 Instagrammable cities, with over 165 million social media posts. The study highlights Dubai’s dominance in the digital environment, with the city’s iconic landmarks and attractions drawing massive attention on social media platforms.
The ranking supports Dubai’s position as a global hub for tourism and social media, with the city’s strategic location and world-class infrastructure making it an attractive destination for visitors from around the world. As the most Instagrammable city in 2026, Dubai is expected to continue to attract large numbers of tourists and social media enthusiasts, further solidifying its position as a leading global destination.
