A 57-Minute Track Connection to Abu Dhabi Meets the Red Line
The new rail stop cuts travel time between Dubai and Abu Dhabi down to roughly 57 minutes. Passengers arriving along E311 will be able to swap highway driving for intercity rail service.
Transit between the national rail network and local city routes hinges on a dedicated footbridge currently under construction. That pedestrian bridge connects Dubai Al Yalayis Station directly to the Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Red Line, linking intercity trains straight into Dubai’s urban transit grid.
For surrounding neighborhoods like Al Furjan, Dubai Investment Park, Green Community, Dubai Production City, Expo City Dubai, and Dubai South, the terminal brings national rail access directly to the area. The site also sits about 30 minutes by road from Al Maktoum International Airport, anchoring transport links across the expanding southern corridor.
The September 30 opening marks the next major expansion phase of the UAE national passenger rail network alongside Al Dhaid Station in Sharjah, following the initial launch of passenger services between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah on June 30.
