2027 F1 Calendar Confirms 24 Races and Yas Marina Finale
Formula One has officially unveiled the 2027 racing schedule, featuring 24 Grands Prix across 22 countries and 10 sprint events, with the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi retaining the season-ending grand prix. Formula One and the FIA confirmed the calendar, setting the stage for a sprawling global championship that launches in the Gulf.
Portugal and Turkey Return as Netherlands Drops Off Grid
Pre-season testing will kick off in Bahrain from February 24 to 27, followed immediately by the opening Bahrain Grand Prix from March 12 to 14 and the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah a week later from March 19 to 21. The 24-race roster introduces structural shifts for the European leg, welcoming back Portugal’s Portimao circuit from June 18 to 20 and Istanbul Park in Turkey from October 1 to 3, positioned between Azerbaijan and Singapore. Meanwhile, the Netherlands drops off the schedule entirely for 2027.
The FIA maintains contingency plans for the opening Gulf legs following regional disruptions experienced during prior calendar cycles. The 2027 campaign will feature 10 sprint weekends, including Monaco, before concluding its marathon schedule with the Qatar Grand Prix from December 3 to 5 and the season finale at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi from December 10 to 12.
