136 Days of Cultural Events and Fireworks Return to Abu Dhabi This October
Abu Dhabi‘s festival grounds are gearing up for the winter season as the Sheikh Zayed Festival 2026/2027 officially opens its doors on October 30. Operating under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the supervision of Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the community landmark will host visitors through March 14, 2027.
What to Expect Across the 136-Day Winter Season
This year’s 136-day run brings back a dense schedule of family entertainment, international cultural pavilions, and sports. Dedicated areas across the grounds will showcase traditional Emirati life, focusing on maritime heritage, camel racing, and falconry alongside regional arts and crafts.
The season’s calendar aligns directly with major winter milestones. Visitors will see dedicated programming for Eid Al Etihad, New Year celebrations, and Ramadan, alongside musical performances from Gulf and Arab artists. Drone, laser, and fireworks displays, building on past shows that set Guinness World Records, are scheduled to anchor the evening schedules throughout the five-month run.
The event will run continuously from late October through mid-March.
