108,315 Emergencies Handled by National Ambulance UAE in 9 Months
If you’ve ever dialed 998 during a late-night medical scare, you know how fast those seconds stretch. Across UAE neighborhoods, the crews behind those sirens have been moving non-stop this year.
Operational figures released for the first nine months of 2026 show that the National Ambulance, operating as part of the Federal Authority for Ambulance and Civil Defence, handled 260,423 calls through its Ambulance Communication Centre between January and September.
Those distress calls translated to 108,315 emergency incidents across local roads and residential clusters. Paramedics provided direct emergency medical care to 87,179 patients, delivering critical pre-hospital treatment before individuals reached the hospital.
Operating on a round-the-clock schedule, the service keeps emergency teams on standby 24 hours a day to maintain rapid response times across the areas it serves.
