Extra 3kg for Passengers as Cabin Baggage Limit Rises to 10kg
Dubai residents packing for flights back to the Philippines are getting a little extra leeway at airport check-in desks starting September 15. Cebu Pacific is bumping its hand-carry baggage allowance from seven kilograms to 10 kilograms across its 5J mainline flights, including direct services operating out of Dubai.

The revised policy gives passengers with confirmed seats an extra three kilograms of carry-on capacity without changing standard dimension rules. Each traveler can bring one cabin bag fitting the overhead compartment measuring up to 56cm x 36cm x 23cm, alongside one personal item that fits under the seat ahead.
The upgraded 10-kilogram cap extends to all confirmed seats on 5J flights, including bookings for children and infants. However, passengers transferring onto regional Cebgo services operated under the DG flight code will still need to stick to the older seven-kilogram limit.
Travelers taking connecting flights across the Philippines should verify their booking codes before packing to avoid unexpected gate fees.
