Dubai Issues 29,000 Visit Visas for Relatives, Friends in 2026's First Half
Dubai‘s General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) issued 29,000 visit visas for relatives or friends of residents during the first half of 2026. Residents who sponsored their relatives or friends for a visit are directly affected by this development, as it reflects the efficiency of the GDRFA’s work system in handling increased transaction volumes.
The GDRFA’s ability to issue a large number of visit visas in a short period enhances Dubai’s position as a global destination, making it easier for people to visit their loved ones in the emirate. Major General Khalaf Ahmed Al Ghaith, Assistant Director General of the Entry Permits and Residence Sector at GDRFA, noted that the results demonstrate the efficiency of the work system and its ability to keep pace with the increasing growth in the volume of transactions.
The Dubai visit visa for relatives or friends is available to those wishing to visit the emirate, and the GDRFA’s proactive services aim to meet customers’ aspirations. This development is connected to Dubai’s ongoing efforts to enhance its immigration and tourism processes, as seen in previous initiatives to simplify entry procedures for visitors.
