Free 1-Year AI Plan with 400GB Storage Opens for UAE University Students
University students across Dubai and the wider UAE can now unlock a full year of premium digital tools at zero cost. The UAE Government’s Artificial Intelligence Office and Google have teamed up to grant enrolled university students aged 18 and older free 12-month access to the Google AI Plus plan.
Free Gemini Apps, 400GB Cloud Storage, and Study Tools for Enrolled Students
The package gives students access to the Gemini app in Arabic and English across Android and iOS, alongside specialized tools for generating images and videos. Subscribed users receive 400GB of storage, access to advanced search functions, and the Gemini Notebook to organize academic references, create audio summaries, and structure study papers.
To help students apply these systems to daily coursework, the AI Office and Google are running virtual and in-person training programs focused on research skills and responsible usage. Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Omar Sultan Al Olama stated that the next phase requires moving beyond basic tool usage toward a deeper understanding of how to employ artificial intelligence responsibly in academic research. The rollout expands on an initiative first launched in 2024 under the joint ‘AI for All’ framework.
Eligible university students must complete their registration online at google/studentoffer26-uae before the December 31, 2026 deadline to secure the subscription.
