50,000 Active Businesses Now Operate Out of Rakez Across 50 Sectors
Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone has officially crossed the threshold of 50,000 active registered companies, marking a notable concentration of commercial activity in the northern emirate. The business hub now draws operations from more than 100 countries, anchoring local industrial sites alongside broad office sectors.
A Growing Network of Overseas and Local Operations
The economic zone’s commercial lineup now spans more than 50 distinct sectors. Light and advanced industrial bases in the hub cover heavy hitters like engineering, industrial equipment, building materials, food and beverage, electronics, metals, and apparel. Outside the factory floor, the community includes general trading firms, e-commerce setups, media agencies, wholesale distributors, and management consultancies.
That growth follows sustained international outreach by Rakez, which has run deliberate roadshows, trade missions, and partnership drives across key overseas markets like India, Europe, and China to connect foreign firms directly to local opportunities. Rakez Group CEO Ramy Jallad noted that reaching the 50,000-company mark reflects long-term trust built with international commercial tenants. He pointed out that the operational footprint stretches beyond headline counts, with these firms generating local jobs and strengthening supply chains for surrounding industries.
Looking to its next phase, the economic zone is focusing its roadmap on upgrading customer service workflows, expanding digital capabilities, building out site infrastructure, and forming fresh market partnerships to support continuing tenant expansions. Rakez plans to continue expanding its digital services and local infrastructure to support incoming commercial operators across its business zones.
