Who Can Search for UAE Jobs Without a Local Sponsor
The single-entry job exploration visit visa, issued by GDRFA Dubai and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), lets you stay legally in the UAE while you interview, meet hiring teams and build local contacts. This card covers who qualifies and how long you can stay. For Dubai fees, documents and steps, see our Dubai job exploration visa guide.
Who qualifies
| Applicant | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Skilled professionals | A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a target job in skill levels 1, 2 or 3 of the MOHRE occupational classification |
| Recent graduates | A graduate of a top 500 university, as classified by the Ministry of Education |
Applicants may also be asked to show proof of enough funds to support themselves during the stay.
How long you can stay
You pick 60, 90 or 120 days when you apply. If the search runs long, the stay may be extended up to 180 days in total, subject to approval.
What it does not do
The visa lets you search for work but does not guarantee a job offer or authorise you to work. GDRFA Dubai warns applicants to use official channels only and to ignore anyone claiming to issue visas or guarantee jobs. Once hired, your employer must move you onto a formal work permit. For the federal route and its deposit, see our UAE job seeker visa guide.
