UAE Scores 73.15 to Secure Third Spot Globally for Living and Investing
Neighborhoods and business hubs across the UAE have gained new international standing following the release of global destination evaluation data.
Top Tax Score and Global Top-Three Placement for Residents and Investors
The UAE secured third place globally as a destination to live, work, and invest, according to the Nomad Capitalist 2026 Index. Finishing with an overall score of 73.15 out of 100 points, the country landed 0.74 points behind top-ranked Monaco’s 73.89 points and second-placed Andorra’s 73.68 points, outperforming 63 other evaluated nations.
A primary driver behind the placement was the country’s fiscal structure. The UAE earned a category-leading tax score of 96 points, topping every other country evaluated in the index. The evaluation framework also measured destination criteria including lifestyle standards, safety metrics, quality of services, infrastructure, accessibility, and freedom of movement. The UAE was the only Gulf State to secure a placement in the 2026 index ranking.
The final standings place the country directly behind Monaco and Andorra in the overall global evaluation.
