Job hunters looking for work across Dubai can now apply directly to enter the country without needing a local sponsor or host lining up their paperwork first.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has introduced a single-entry visit visa specifically tailored for professionals exploring opportunities in the UAE labor market. Applicants can select an initial stay duration of 60, 90, or 120 days depending on their timeline.
This setup allows job seekers to schedule face-to-face interviews, attend industry networking sessions, and gauge local sectors firsthand rather than applying remotely. If candidates need additional time to close out employment discussions, the stay can be extended up to a maximum of 180 days under approved regulations.
The permit eliminates the need for an employer or sponsor during the initial application process. However, candidates must fulfill all document requirements and category conditions before traveling to the UAE. GDRFA Dubai has cautioned applicants to stick strictly to official channels and avoid unauthorized entities claiming to issue visas or guarantee jobs.
