Four New Etihad Rail Dubai Stations Are Rewiring the Daily Commute
Residents across southern Dubai are getting a front-row seat to a major shift in how the emirate moves. Down in Jumeirah Golf Estates and the surrounding neighborhoods like Al Furjan, Green Community, Dubai Investment Park, Dubai Production City, and Expo City Dubai, construction and planning are bringing the national rail network right to the doorstep.
RTA Integration and Your Daily Routine
The upcoming transport links mean local morning routines are about to change significantly. The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is rolling out its proven public transport integration model for the new rail stops, meaning seamless connections are baked right into the launch.
Commuters stepping off the train won’t have to scramble for transit options. Every station ties directly into the existing grid through dedicated feeder bus networks, direct Dubai Metro line access, and organized taxi services. Even better for daily transit users, the system supports standard nol card usage across the entire integrated journey from day one. For residents in Dubai South, the primary station sits roughly 30 minutes away from Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), tying regional travel directly into the emirate’s aviation hub.
Etihad Rail is slotting four stations across the emirate in total. Two of these stops feed into the national passenger network, while the other two anchor the high-speed rail link connecting Dubai straight to Abu Dhabi and eastward toward Fujairah’s Al Hilal City.
Passenger services across the nationwide network are scheduled to begin running in 2026, bringing integrated transport connections live the moment the station doors open.
