1,262 RAM Trucks Recalled in Saudi Arabia Over Safety Defect
Saudi Arabia‘s Ministry of Commerce has issued a recall for 1,262 RAM trucks due to a manufacturing defect in the vehicle trailer control module.
The recall targets three specific truck lines from the 2025 and 2026 model years: the RAM 1500, RAM 2500, and RAM 5500. Commercial fleet operators and private owners utilizing these vehicles for transport or heavy-duty operations face immediate operational risks if the defect goes unaddressed.
The faulty trailer control module causes vehicle turn signals and exterior safety lights to malfunction during use, raising collision risks on public roads. Additionally, the Ministry of Commerce identified a structural stability hazard where attached trailers risk uncoupling or falling while in transit.
Compliance Steps for Fleet Operators and Vehicle Owners
Businesses operating affected commercial vehicles or individuals holding title to eligible RAM trucks must complete two administrative steps to remediate the defect:
- Check your vehicle chassis number (VIN) against the registered recall database maintained on the official portal at recalls.sa.
- Contact the manufacturer’s local dealership or representative to schedule free corrective repairs for the trailer control module.
