'Thank You UAE': Half a million people express gratitude
In Dubai, a new national initiative by the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) called ‘Thank You UAE‘ has seen 454,643 people from around 136 countries send their heartfelt messages to thank the UAE. The digital platform, accessible via www.shukranuae.emaratalaman.ae, allows people worldwide to express their gratitude for the country and write messages that can be viewed by anyone.
The ‘Thank You UAE’ initiative was launched to celebrate the country’s resilience and stability, countering misinformation that circulated during the recent geopolitical conflict. According to Dr. Mohamed Al Hasan, Director of Media at SIRA, the initiative is a response to rumors portraying the UAE as an “unstable country” during the conflict. The messages received through the platform confirm that the UAE is truly a home for everyone, he said.
To participate, individuals can visit the website and submit their messages, which will then be filtered by the SIRA team and published on the website. The initiative has entered its second phase with the participation of Dubai Customs. The Director of Media at SIRA emphasized that their primary role is to protect the country’s borders and support the UAE’s economic trade, while also promoting the values of loyalty and belonging to the UAE.
The ‘Thank You UAE’ initiative is not the first of its kind in the UAE. The country had earlier introduced the ‘UAE Pledge & Commitment’, a national declaration of loyalty, unity, and allegiance to the UAE and its president. The new initiative, however, allows people to express their gratitude in a more personal way, writing messages that can be viewed by anyone.
As the UAE continues to promote its values of resilience and stability, the ‘Thank You UAE’ initiative serves as a reflection of the country’s strength and the appreciation it receives from people around the world. The initiative is a reminder that the UAE is not just a place to live, but a homeland that people are proud to belong to.
The ‘Thank You UAE’ initiative is connected to the UAE’s broader strategy of promoting national unity and stability, as outlined in various government initiatives and plans. By collecting gratitude messages from people around the world, the initiative aims to showcase the UAE’s resilience and counter misinformation that may have circulated during the recent geopolitical conflict.
