Dubai Private Schools: Summer Break and Year Length for 2026-27

Dubai’s private school summer break for 2026 began on 6 July, as reported, and the 2026-27 year started on 31 August 2026. The year ends on 2 July 2027, so the next summer break follows straight after.

How the year is laid out

• Three terms between 31 August 2026 and 2 July 2027.
• October mid-term break: 12 to 16 October 2026, with classes resuming on 19 October.
• Winter break: 14 December 2026 to 1 January 2027, with classes resuming on 4 January.
• Spring break: 5 to 9 April 2027, with classes resuming on 12 April.

Flexibility for non-national curriculum schools

Private schools that do not follow the national curriculum can apply to split the mid-term break between October and February. The total cannot exceed five school days. Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi curriculum schools set their own calendars.
