45km/h Winds and Afternoon Rain to Hit Eastern UAE Through Thursday
After three consecutive days of showers left standing water across roads in Al Ain, unstable weather is setting in across eastern, southern, and coastal parts of the country through Thursday.
Afternoon Clouds, 45km/h Dust Winds, and Fog to Affect Daily Routines
Convective clouds will build over eastern and southern areas during the afternoon, bringing rain that extends into inland districts by Wednesday. The National Centre of Meteorology forecasts that these afternoon cloud formations follow heavy downpours that already caused water to accumulate on roadways in Al Ain.
Southeasterly to northeasterly winds will pick up around cloud formations, ranging from 10 to 25 km/h and reaching peak gusts of 45 km/h on Wednesday. These winds are expected to kick up sand and blowing dust across open roads, reducing visibility during afternoon travel on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Overnight humidity will surge across coastal and inland zones, creating conditions for morning fog and mist through Friday. Drivers along coastal routes can expect damp, foggy early morning conditions before cloud cover develops later in the afternoon.
Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are forecasted to remain slight throughout the week despite the unstable atmospheric conditions overhead.
