How to Check Your UAE Travel Ban Status Online
There’s no single, unified travel-ban check that covers the whole UAE. Each emirate’s own system is the right place to look, and using the wrong one just wastes time.
Dubai residents use the Dubai Police “Circulars and Travel Bans” e-service, found on both the Dubai Police smart app and website, using your Emirates ID. This covers financial cases, complaints and circulars issued by Dubai’s own security authorities.
Abu Dhabi residents use Estafser, run by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), which checks cases, travel bans and prosecution requests within Abu Dhabi’s jurisdiction. Estafser requires your Unified ID (UID), not your Emirates ID, found on your visa page, and login is via UAE Pass.
For immigration-side holds (overstay, absconding, a GDRFA or ICP file block) rather than a court or police case, contact ICP directly on 600522222, or GDRFA Dubai for Dubai residency matters specifically.
UAE residents and visitors who need to confirm whether a travel ban or case exists should use the channel that matches where the ban was issued, not a generic one. If you’ve lived in more than one emirate, you may need to check more than one system. For the exact phone numbers and step-by-step portal navigation, see our how to check a UAE travel ban guide.
