ONPASSIVE Station Rebranded to Garmin Metro Station for Next 10 Years
Commuters riding the Dubai Metro will soon see a familiar stop on the map under a new name. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has renamed ONPASSIVE Metro Station to Garmin Metro Station after finalizing a long-term corporate partnership.
A 10-Year Partnership for Metro Naming Rights
The 10-year naming rights agreement transfers the station’s title to Garmin through AMIT Retail LLC, the official sole distributor for Garmin devices in the UAE. Known worldwide for developing GPS navigation technology and smart wearables, the brand now takes over the primary signage at the location.
The agreement comes as part of the RTA’s ongoing Dubai Metro Stations Naming Rights Initiative, which covers stops along both the Red Line and Green Line. The authority noted that the commercial partnership reflects the emirate’s drive to deepen cooperation between public institutions and private industry while offering international brands direct exposure across the city’s transport network.
Passengers using the station will see the updated Garmin Metro Station branding integrated across network signage and transit updates over the period of the agreement.
