1,200 Cyclists Set standard as Dubai Police Community Ride Returns Nov 14
The Cycling Hub at the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf served as the backdrop as Dubai Police unveiled details for the second round of their popular community cycling initiative, Ride With Police. Scheduled for November 14, 2026, the upcoming group ride is timed to align directly with the tenth edition of the month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge (30×30).
What the Community Cycling Initiative Delivers to Local Roads
The initiative gives amateur and professional cyclists the opportunity to pedal in a structured environment alongside professional riders from Team Dubai Police. Data from the initial session held on October 24 shows that 1,200 cyclists and 35 distinct teams took to the route, drawing a crowd where 73% of riders were men and 27% were women across age categories spanning 18 to 55 years old.
Press conference details led by Captain Yousuf Mirza Al Hammadi, Director of the Dubai Police Cycling Team, and Issa Mohammed Sharif Al Marzouqi, Director of the Sports Events Department at Dubai Sports Council, confirmed that the previous ride generated a 97.4% participant satisfaction score. Registration for the inaugural leg logged 1,262 total sign-ups, comprising 837 core cyclists and 425 accompanying community members.
This ongoing series directly supports the Dubai Sports Plan 2033, an official strategy launched by the Dubai Sports Council that targets tripling the number of residents regularly participating in sports across the emirate to 2.6 million by 2033.
