What Is Your UAE UID Number?
The UID, also called the Unified Number, is a permanent immigration identity number issued by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP). In Dubai it is coordinated with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai (GDRFA). It stays the same for life, across every entry permit, visa and residence you hold.

Do not confuse the UID with your visa file number, which changes each time you get a new visa.
Where to find it
- Look for the field labelled U.I.D. No. or Unified No. on your entry permit, residence visa or visa approval documents.
- Check it online through the ICP smart services portal or the UAEICP app for visas issued outside Dubai.
- For Dubai visas, use the GDRFA Dubai portal or app with your passport details or file number.
