Save on Dubai parking fees with zone choices and free hours
Motorists navigating public spaces across Dubai can cut daily transport expenses by leveraging the tariff structure operated by Parkin.
How zone choices and timing cut daily parking expenses
Drivers can lower their hourly outlay simply by checking the code displayed on parking signposts before making a payment. Zones designated as standard cap their rate at AED 4.20 per hour, even during peak operational hours. In contrast, premium parking zones, which are identified by a ‘P’ at the end of the parking zone code, charge up to AED 6 per hour.
Public parking across the emirate is free on Sundays, on officially declared public holidays, and during the overnight window from 10pm to 8am every day. However, these free hours do not apply everywhere, as multistorey car parks and designated special parking zones continue to charge during these periods. Additionally, unmetered residential streets where no parking metres or paid zone signposts are installed remain free to use.
Drivers can check zone rates and manage payments using either the official Parkin app or the RTA app.
